When was the last time you changed the fire alarms in your home? We recommend replacing fire alarms every 5-7 years. A great selection of smoke & fire alarms can be found at  here.

Check the gauge on your fire extinguisher annually to ensure it is fully charged. Replace uncharged extinguishers with a new one. It is recommended to have at least one fire extinguisher on every floor.  We carry a full variety fire extinguishers for every need.

Make sure to change furnace filters at least every three months to allow your furnace to run most efficiently. Even during the summer months when your air conditioner is running.

Install a programmable thermostat to help save energy costs. Program the thermostat to automatically lower temps when at work or while sleeping, thereby saving energy hours at a time. You may also want to consider the newest App driven programmable thermostats such as NEST and Honeywell to fit your needs.

LED light bulbs maximize your home’s energy efficiency by using much less energy while providing the same amount of light as regular bulbs. Added bonus: LED’s last up to 10 times longer than standard light bulbs! Using energy efficient LED bulbs means money savings for you.

The next time you wash your windows, try this…wash the inside panes one way (vertical), and the outside panes the opposite way (horizontal). That way you’ll know which side still isn’t clean or has streaks. E-cloth window cleaning clothes only use water to remove stains and marks.  Come check them out in our Cleaning Supplies department!
